Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-05-07
Please read these terms of use carefully before accessing, using, or obtaining any materials, information, products, or services. By accessing the Royal Rent website or any functionality of the Royal Rent platform (collectively, “our Website”), you agree to these terms and conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our Website. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “Royal Rent” refer to Business Man RXR S.R.L., with registered office at Strada Sânzienei, 507075 Ghimbav, and “you” refers to you, the user of our Website.
1. Presentation of services
Our website, https://royal-rent.ro, is an online platform for presenting the car rental services offered by Royal Rent. Through the site, users can view the available fleet, tariffs, and other information regarding bookings for specific periods.
2. Website usage conditions
You may use this website only if you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into legally binding agreements. By using the site, you undertake:
- To provide accurate, current, and complete information through contact or booking forms.
- Not to submit false, fraudulent, or speculative information.
- Not to use automated systems (screen scraping, bots) to extract data from the site for commercial purposes without our written consent.
3. Booking process
By using the site you will access information about booking the products / vehicles displayed. Use of the site does not result in the contracting of the services presented; this is done through physical interaction with company representatives and the signing of the necessary documents they provide. The actual rental contract is considered concluded only upon confirmation of availability by our team and the signing of the physical or digital rental contract.
Prices: displayed prices are indicative and may vary depending on the chosen period, the duration of the rental, and any additional features requested.
Currency: prices are displayed in RON (Romanian lei) with an indicative EUR approximation. For card payments, exchange rate differences applied by your bank may apply.
4. Rental conditions (summary)
To finalise a confirmed booking, the lessee (customer) must meet the following conditions when picking up the vehicle:
- Minimum age and licence: the minimum age is 18, with a valid driving licence. We do not require a minimum licence age — our insurance covers any driver holding a valid licence.
- Required documents: valid ID card / passport and original driver's licence.
- Deposit: no deposit or guarantee is required for the vehicles in our current fleet. If this changes for a particular vehicle or period, the amount will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
- Airport pickup: pickup and drop-off at Brașov-Ghimbav Airport are free of charge for rentals longer than 4 days.
5. Intellectual property
All text, images, logos, and software on this website are the property of Royal Rent or its partners. Copying, modifying, or distributing the content for commercial purposes without explicit permission is prohibited.
6. Limitation of liability
Royal Rent (including its administrators and employees) will not be responsible for:
- Technical errors of the site or service interruptions.
- Indirect damages or loss of profit resulting from the use of or inability to use the site.
- Erroneous information entered by the user in booking forms.
The site and its content are provided “as is,” without any warranties regarding total accuracy or permanent availability.
7. Third-party links
Our site may contain links to other websites (e.g. payment processors, Google Maps). Royal Rent does not control and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of these external sites.
8. Use of artificial intelligence
Certain site features (e.g. chatbots or support tools) may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) modules. These are intended to assist the user, but Royal Rent does not guarantee the full accuracy of automatically generated responses and does not assume liability for decisions made based on them.
9. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice. The updated version will be published on the site, and your continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the new modifications.
We may modify these Terms for any reason, at any time, simply by publishing a new version on our Website. These changes do not affect rights and obligations arising before the changes were instated. Continued use of our Website after the modified Terms are published will be subject to the Terms in force at the time of use. Please check the Terms periodically for any changes. If you disagree with any of their provisions, any subsequent modification, or are no longer satisfied with our Website in any way, your only option is to immediately stop using it.
10. Complaints resolution and the “Quick Resolution” procedure
10.1. Objective
Although the site primarily presents Royal Rent's services, we are committed to providing quick clarifications to any visitor or beneficiary. For any complaint regarding the information presented or our services, the User undertakes to contact the support department at contact@royal-rent.ro before initiating any legal action. The complaint must include identification details and a detailed description of the issue.
10.2. Quick Resolution
We undertake to analyse any complaint received and provide an official response within a maximum of 5 working days from receipt. In highly complex cases, this period may be extended to 15 calendar days, which will be notified to the User within the initial timeframe. The goal is the amicable resolution of any disagreement before it becomes a formal dispute.
10.3. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
If the dispute has not been amicably resolved within 30 days of the complaint being registered, the User has the right to use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms:
- ANPC: The National Authority for Consumer Protection (www.anpc.ro).
- ODR Platform: for complaints regarding services presented or contracted through electronic means (europa.eu).
10.4. Competent court
If amicable resolution or ADR mechanisms fail, the dispute will be referred for resolution to the competent courts at the registered office of Royal Rent, except where mandatory consumer protection legislation provides for a different territorial jurisdiction. Any dispute related to the use of the website or these Terms will be governed by the laws of Romania.
